REALLY!!!!
Your mom sounds just like my mom... never a nice thing to say. I sent my mom pictures of me in a wedding dress I tried on. I looked so much better, so slim and I have to say my butt looked fabulous. All my mom said was oh you have back clevage - that dress is way too tight... duh mom the dress is a size too small, you aren't supposed to notice that! Just listen to the other people in your life and try to ignore her. Boy - it sure is hard though isn't it???
Some moms are just like that. mine is, but she is still my favorite person in the entire world. We can really go at it at times. Its like she has to find SOMETHING to pick on. When I was gaining or gigantic she always wanted to ask me "how's your diet going?' Uh...hello...do you see me???
Now I lose weight and she does say how good I look at times, but always has to follow it up with something...
I guess its just being a mom. Just like Im lame cause I hate that my daughter has those gigantic gauges in her ears and I remark about them all the time. caus they are disgusting and UGLY. Shes only 16 and there is nothing I can do about it cause you can buy them anywhere without a parent. I guess she thinks thats me picking on her... Im all about being original and all, but those are awful. shave your head or dye it purple cheetah print, I dont care, at least the hair will grow back!

Part of it may be that she has a difficult time seeing you in a different body. She has known and been accustomed to the Fat you. Just as many of us have difficulty in accepting how we look and who we are now, sometimes those close to us have the same difficulty, the only difference is some people word it the wrong way.

ARE YOU MY LONG LOST SISTER?!?!?!?!?! Seriously...my mom is the same way, AND SHE HAD THE SURGERY 8 YEARS AGO!!
My mom always finds SOMETHING to complain about. For instance, we were visiting my husbands side of the the family and went to a chocolate shop and got a few things. I was in the shower so my husband was talking to her and telling her what we had done on our visit and she said,"oh great, does that mean she gained back all of the 100 pounds she lost since you guys had chocolate??"
My husband was quick to come to my defense and said,"Um...NO! Actually she got a sugar free caramel apple with peanuts. So there was no sugar, it was an APPLE, and she did get some protein. Plus, she could only eat about two slices, and I finished the rest! So, even when on vacation her "splurge" was still pretty damn good in my opinion!"

I was on a diet from the time I was probably 8 years old. My mom had me on all of them. Yet I was told I had to finish everything on my plate before I could leave the table(mixed message?). My mom has been the food police since then and I am 47 years old. I find it's know wonder I have had weight issues so long. Now that I have had the surgery she calls me everday to ask what I have eaten and what I can eat too. I know when or if I get too skinny she will be the same. I came to terms that this is my life and I need to be happy with me. (Took alot of years of therapy too)LOL....Don't let your mom push you around. You look great and I'm sure you feel great too. It's your life and your health!
