just a heads up Post-op liquids and pureed aren't much better!

Keep working hard and in a year it will all be worth it. Actually in a couple months it will be.

I think that I would be okay with pureed foods, at least I could have SF pudding, and veggies at least that is filling. I am trying to find ways of tricking myself into thinking that I am actually eating food and I guess it helps as much as it can. I like your advice, in a couple of months it will be so worth it!

I was on 3 weeks of special shakes (4 per day) before my surgery.  It wasn't always easy, but after the first couple days it wasn't so bad.  I drank them cold, and enjoyed crystal light in between.  Jello when you can get it helps satisfy the eating part.  I did have a couple bad days where it was harder (family parties where there was lots of food, and I couldn't touch it) then just before the surgery I couldn't wait.

My best advise is to just focus on your goal.

I chose surgury when I was ready for it. I was almost 350 lbs, and couldn't play with my kids.  Agreed, not all of our skin will pull in, but I'm not worried about that, we can cross that bridge when we get to it. You will not look like a deflated balloon. Trust me, I've seen people after 1 year, and 2 years, and they don't look like deflated balloons.  Right now, focus on what we both decided to do.  Get a tool that will make us healthy.  Being hot will just be a fringe benifit ;)

I had my surgery just over 4 weeks ago, and I don't regret it. I've lost about 45lbs so far, and have a ways to go, but I know I'll get there.  You will get to where you want too, I know you can do it.

As for your ex, don't worry about what he says.  You are doing this for yourself, and it's you that you have to make happy, no one else.
