I shouldn't eat this?
After being overweight/obese/SMO my entire adult life, I'm not sure what a "normal caloric level" is. (Maybe if I had known that, I wouldn't have gottent be SMO...?!?)
What I do know is that eating about 1400 calories a day (some days a little more, some days a little less to enable me to enjoy special food events) -- of "normal" foods (including some fats and carbs) that people who have NOT had WLS actually eat -- has enabled me to get to 4 years out being only 5-7 pounds above my lowest weight, without any formal exercise routine the past 2 years and with allowing myself to eat a small amount of anything I really have a craving for.

It sounds like you've found what works well for you and your health/fitness goals! I agree this whole process is about finding a healthy balance that works for us. No two wls patients are the same and we all require different things nutritionally! My surgeon is big on telling his patients to find that healthy balance because it allows for better long term success!
