Having a funeral....

For my hair......

This sucks!  It falls out all day and my hair is really really long.  So i am covered in hair.  It's so sad.

I knew it was going to happen, but you always think "maybe it won't happen to me" but then fate sticks it to you and YES IT DOES happen to you!

I don't want to cut my hair......I am going to hang on to it as long as I can....I'm stubborn.  Even if I only have 7 strands left, at least those 7 will be long....LOL

I feel ya! My hair has always been very thick and healthy and it looked good long but now I have to keep it short or it looks like straw. It's growing back in but I still mourn the loss of my full head of hair!

My hair was below my shoulders and over the past 4 months has been cut to pixie damn near.

I mourned too...and my mantra became "this too shall pass" and "it's just hair"

I hid behind my long hair and with the weight loss it feels like I don't have to hide any longer, it's an amazing feeling, like waking up to the truth.

I am not my hair.

Hope you feel better soon...mine has slowed down/stopped (I hope?) and I'm 7 months out.

Peace
Binda

I have wasted enough of my life worrying about what people think of me.

'I am not my hair"

Truer words have never been spoken.
It should be a sticky on the top of the page.

LOVE THIS and wanted to share!

Attitude   There once was a woman who woke up one morning,
looked in the mirror, and noticed
she had only three hairs on her head.
Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today?"
So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror
and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
"H-M-M," she said,
"I think I'll part my hair down the middle today?"
So she did and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed
that she had only one hair on her head.
"Well," she said,
"today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail."
So she did and she had a fun, fun day.
The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed
that there wasn't a single hair on her head.

"YEA!" she exclaimed,
"I don't have to fix my hair today!"
  ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING

cut it cut it cut it!!!! I can't say that enough, I did NOT want to cut my hair and when it starts to grow back in I WILL grow it long again.. but for now I have to work with what I have and it looks thicker short. instead of all those half strands everywhere!! Just do it you will be happy you did!! Plus there is less brushing to do and less pulling out of the hair you do have.. my hair is still falling out but I notice it much less now that it's shorter, which is better for me mentally! lol

You would be much better off cutting it.  When mine got thin it was the only thing to do.  It looked much fuller and when it started to grow back, blended much better.

I delt with this issue too.
Thankfully I think my hair loss is coming to an end, I have not noticed the big strands of hair in the shower lately. It's not as thick as it used to be, but i'm not bald either.
