I think I will refrain from asking anymore ?'s on here.

So people get so serious & make it uncofortable for newbies to ask their questions. I think I'll just look up my answers on the web. It's kinda sad that just because people have their own strong opinions on things just cuz they are vets...They make the newbies who don't really know what to expect feel like idiots & that's not the way it's supposed to be. & I really thought I found somewhere to help me get through this!

It's so rediculous! There are a few on here (who post regularly) and I have seen them be so rude to people! That is not what this website is for! I think it is really sad! I have seen people get into heated arguments over a simple question...SERIOUSLY??? Is it that serious? Come on! Maybe I'll just keep looking for a better (more friendly) board. ;o)

NO! You should continue to post your questions here! I know exactly what you are talking about. Do not let the HATERS here stop you from posting.  Many are just miserable!  We are all NOT like them!

I think the thing about OH is that people are really really honest. I think it is true that sometimes people can be ruder than they should but I believe no one really intends to hurt other peoples feelings or anything. I have gotten so much useful info out of vets and newbies alike from OH. I don't know where I would be without it. I've been to a lot of WLS forums and this one seems like the nicest. Some out there are just absolutely cruel. But again I think people are looking for a really friendly site and are surprised when they get such blunt answers. Of course I don't know what you are talking about though, the exact instance I mean, but I do hope you give it a chance. You can always block people you don't like and then you won't see their posts at all.

God help you, have you been on the main board?  They are vultures there.  People here on the RNY board are *****cats compared to those jackals.  And I don't even go into the people on the DS board.  Don't bring any problems to them or they will flame you to a crisp.  They pride themselves on their meanness.
There is this handy device that has made it possible for me to continue on OH.  Look below your post.  You will see some buttons there.  There is one that says "Block".  Use it liberally and your experience here will be much more enjoyable.

I completely agree with ladytazz. The main board and the ds board can be REALLY scary sometimes. The only reason I go on them are when I'm bored and I like to lurk and look at all the drama. Thankfully the RNY stays away from most of the drama and the surgery wars.
