I went grocery shopping today and froze my butt off. I was in the dairy section and my teeth were chattering.

I was cold the day after surgery and i still am. The best gift I ever got was an electric mattress pad. I use it year around.

Hmmm, good question. I used to be hot ALL the time, but now I find that I'm cold much more often. Even in my own house, where I've had the A/C on 69 degrees forever, I have had to turn it up to 72 degrees because I was freezing myself out.  My wife said it's because I'm losing my insulation. LOL

lol I love that, loosing insulation.  I just didn't think that only a month out would make such a huge difference.

I am cold all.the.time! I'll sit in the house with a sweater and long pants while everyone else is in shorts and tees. If I'm the only one home I turn the thermostat up so the AC won't come on until its like 84!

I have the same problem! I was always a polar bear and now I'm running a space heater in my office at work. Tonight after I got done grocery shopping, I got in the car and turned the heat on to warm up...in AUGUST!?!

Early out cold is because you aren't taking in enough calories to be warm. Being cozy warm is a benefit of having extra energy/calories to burn. When you are eating so little the body conserves it's energy. It's not going to waste it to keep you toes warm or keep your hair thick.

Later it's from lack of insulation.

I now sleep in pajamas because I am often cold as having lost a lot of my fat insulation.  I had to buy a heater to keep my room warm.

Back in June on a cool damp day, I attended an outdoor graduation ceremony.  My fingers froze to the point where I could not bend my fingers!

But, otherwise, I am layering with clothes as I adjust to the lack of fat insulation.
