"All You Can Eat" is such a waste now!
Ooh...touched a nerve, huh? I'm going to submit this post to the passive-aggressive hall of fame!
The thing is, you missed the whole point of my post. It was tongue in cheek about how little we can eat now, not about money, and everyone else got that except you. You had to "correct" me. And you've done it to me before.
So do me a favor and put me on "block" because I'd rather you not answer any of my posts. You rub me the wrong way. There's something to be said for thinking you know everything. It makes you a know-it-all.
If you continue to answer my posts, I will continue to knock you off your high horse each time.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
1st trip with "by the pound" (no sense spending the $22) - $3.00 - they just looked at us like we were crazy because they were so used to us coming in and sitting down and loading up.
Now - 2 yrs out . . about $8.00 and we usually have leftovers.
Get it to go and by the pound if that is an option . . much safer, plus you might make better choices if you aren't sitting there with the bad stuff.
The other day, I really felt like I wasn't my dad's money. He took me, my mom, and my niece and nephew out to Golden Corral. I could usually eat a few things, but this day I happened to be having a really ahrd day and was feeling very dperessed. I ate three bites the entire time we were there. I felt so bad about wasting his money, but he didn't say anything.
I do like when I go to a restraunt and I can get a meal and eat the leftovers for a few days.
We used to eat at buffets, because we choose quantity over quality.
Now that my husband and I have both had RNY, we definitely choose quality over quantity! We always split an entree. Some servers look at us oddly.
Some even try to charge us extra. Our favorite entrees are fillet mignon at Texas Roadhouse and broiled scallops and lump crab meat at Feby's Fishery (Wilmington, DE).
No more buffets for us!

of this and a bit of that. Considering that I only had about a cup of food on
my plate, I had a nice variety. I even had room at the end for 1 bite of dh's
pudding. Considering that I enjoyed it so much and that we don't often
eat out, the $9.99 for a cup of food was worth it. (For now amount of
money however, was I going to eat a baby octopus!) Eeewwww.
