Crazy Hormones from Weight Loss: Fact or Fiction?

Hi Friends,

I have seen numerous posts both claiming truth and fiction about the "hormone phenomenon" which claims that after losing significant weight, your hormones (which are stored in the fat) are released and make you go a little nutty.  Does anyone have a link to any scientific evidence about this?

Based on how my hormones are acting during my first week and a half, I'm inclined to believe it, but my husband just thinks I'm making it up!

you think its bad after a week or two???  Wait until winter hits, your sleep patterns get messed up.  Trust me, you will be on a roller coaster soon enough.  Pay attention to what people are saying on this forum. Scientists dont know everything.

It has definitely happened to me. I have found myself feeling such intense, crazy emotion (and being really mean/grouchy). It is not a big deal but I have had to warn my husband quite a bit!!!

It makes sense from a scientific stand point. It's stored in your fat cells and your fat cells are breaking down.
From a personal point of view I would say it was completely true!
