Well I had my psychology visit last week and only have one more appointment with my doctor (supervised weight loss) and then the paperwork goes in.  Hopefully that will be it and they will authorize the surgery.  At the beginning, the surgeon gave me the paperwork that showed me what my co-pay would be, so hopefully they will get a quick answer and we can get this process started.

I have already started eating only 21 grams of protein and 30grams of carbs, as I was told by the dietician that at 3-6 months out that is what I should be eating, so I figured I would start now and have lost 18 lbs in nine weeks .

21g of protein is WAY to low.  I cam home from the hospital on 45 grams of protien and now at 6 weeks I was bumped up to 65-70 g

eitherway congrats on the 18lbsdown!! and yay for being so close to the end.  I will tell you from the time I had my last apt and I got my approval was less than a week.  and from the time I got my approval and the time I had my surgery was one month!! I hope you get to move just as fast.   best of luck

Oops sorry, that would be 21 grams of protein and 30 grams of carbohydrates per meal, which would equal 63-80 grams of protien and 90-100 grams of carbohydrates daily.
