Wine- Please advise

I am quite diligent about vitamins, protein, water and exercise .... But I also really like 1/2-2 glasses of wine at least twice a week.

Other than the risk of transfer addiction or empty calories, are there any good reasons I should be concerned?

I really appreciate any experienced responses.

There are a lot of alcohol posts with well reasoned responses.
I think you are far enough out to drink some wine if you want.
I don't drink wine.
It's 7 calories/gm. Protein and carbs are 4 calories/gm and fats are 9 calories/gm. I gotta do a lot of bike riding to write off those calories.
I've also read a lot of posts from people further out from me who had trouble with alcohol pretty quickly. I'm already addicted to food. I don't want to have to add AA to the list.
For early outs I think it's really a bad idea. Your liver is working overtime processing all that stored fat. I already am down in the kidney department..I don't want to overwork my liver.
One more thing..alcohol makes it easier to eat. Wine makes food taste better. From what I've read there is also a relaxation of the GI tract that makes you be able to eat more food after you drink.
Whatever you decide I hope it works well for you.

I became an alcholic and I am so glad that I was able to go through treatment at my church and the Lord has taken the desire away from me. Just be very careful i thought i could just drink it every now and again but it became an everyday thing for me.
