Dry Mouth
This is the craziest thing I have every written, but I need some advice.
Is there anyone out there who is experiencing dry mouth, bad breath and black stains on the tonque. I mentioned this to my doctor and he is going to prescribed something. I have never had anyone tell me my breath stinks, but my son did.
I am brushing and using mouthwash constantly. Nothing seems to quinch my thrist.

Have you had your surgery yet? Your biosketch doesn't say.
Bad breath seems to be a natural consequence of rapid weight loss, and your body eats into your fat stores and burns them away. In my case, it lasted a couple of months. I did not have black stains on my tongue, however.
I was about a year out from my surgery, and weighing about 120 pounds less than before, when I began to notice that I was waking up a couple of times each night with a very dry mouth. I've had prostate issues for a few years, and I never expected my WLS to have an effect on that (and it hasn't), so I still have to get up once or twice each night to use the toilet. It's during these times that I've begun to notice the dry mouth. But a couple of swirls of saliva and it's back to normal.
I have not experienced dry mouth during the day. Ever. So it's not clear whether your issue is related in any way with your WLS. I suspect not.
Good luck.

My friend had those symptoms (post rny). Her doctor prescribed her a medication - think it was for bacteria. She was thinking the worse like cancer of the mouth, but it was something easily treatable. Certain meds can cause black tongue - like antibiotics. I've also heard that poor nutritional intake can lead to overgrowth of the papillae (natural bacteria) on the tongue.
