First disappointment....

I am so disappointed.  My surgeons office has been fabulous so far... I finally finished my 3 month program early last week and thought my stuff would be sent for approval right away.... Today I called to make sure it was sent and lo and behold it was just sitting there. 

They need one more person to sign off on the paperwork but then the person who sends it to the insurance company isn't in for a week.  I am so frustrated and pissed off.  I asked if someone else can send it and they said no. 

Last week was tough for me so it's ******g me off more than it should. 

This may not be life and death to them but it is certainly life changing for me.  I feel like I have been waiting forever already....

anyway... just needed to vent

You'll get there. Your surgery date will be coming sooner than you think and then all the time waiting prior to surgery becomes this big blur. I can completely understand and empathize with your frustration though, it is hard to have to wait for something that is such a big decission.

It was a bit over two years from the moment I went to my Bariatric Semminar to when I was finally able to have my surgery-- most frustrating two years ever- but so totally worth it. Hang in there!

oh wow 2 years!! If you handled that then I can handle an extra week!

Yes Ma'am, it got to the point where I thought it would never happen! LOL

Now, give how important this whole process is, I would definitely call them as soon as that person is said to be back and make sure they process your paperwork right then and there.

That happened to me too the doc who had to sign off was on vacation so I had to wait an extra week, but once it was submitted I got the approval three days later. I hope you get your approval just as quickly!

I hope it takes 3 days too!! I will try to keep hoping!!  I had my heart set on the week of october 11th so I hope this doesn't mess me up!

I too had somewhat the same thing happen... It will come, but in my case postponed my surgery until Oct. now.... Good luck to you!!!!!
