I know how you feel.  My doc was supposed to fax (dial a whole 7 numbers) on Wednesday and when I checked Thursday AND Friday, he still hadn't done it.  I told his secretary to put a copy of it in an envelope and I would pick it up and fax it myself.  You what they say, if you want it done, do it yourself.  At least in my case I was able to do that.  I know before I know  it, it will be over and done with and I will be on a healthier me but I am ready to have this done now.

Hope you get a fast turn around on your surgery approval and surgery date and join the losers club.  I know I am so ready to join this losers club.....

it sounds like this is pretty common... I guess it is an every day thing to them.  It isn't life altering!!! Once I have approval I am going to be sooooo excited

So it's all ready to go now but not one other person in that office know how to operate a fax machine?  Hmm.  You could go pick it up yourself and fax it.

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR.  If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor.  Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me.  If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her.    Check out my blog.

I was like ummmmmm NO ONE else can do that??? If it wasn't so far away from me I would want to go get it and do it myself.

I keep thinking there must be something they do different to make it go through faster- UGH I am trying to keep being positive though

I guess this faxing thing is harder for some people than others

Apparently so.  I would have thought anyone smart enough to work in a doctor's office would be smart enough to dial a phone number and stick some papers in a fax machine.  It doesn't sound very complicated to me.  Good grief, if your surgeon himself cannot use a fax machine, are you sure you want him operating on you?  I mean, I'm pretty sure cutting someone open and rerouting their intestines is at least a little bit more difficult than sending a fax.
