ITCHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW...where I had the JP drain is itching so BAD!!!!! WOW.....I wanna rubbbbbbbbb it! I am afraid to really go near the area....it still looks icky....lol. I have a question too....the skin on my legs seem drier then normal, is this normal? I am antsy today and have done some gardening...took it easy, but I am so ready to go back to work. I am going in for a few hours tomorrow. I have a pretty awesome desk job that I have a lot of perks with. So tomorrow I will drive too. Ready to move onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
I had dry skin a few weeks after surgery it was annoying. I used alot of lotion, and it still seemed dry. Not sure why. The dryness has seemed to go away ( I am 4 months out) Now, I have terrible itchy skin. I think its from loosing weight and the skin getting loose? Not complaining though.. I am happy to be a looser :)
same here, my skin always get extremely dry...especially around the bottom of my stomach and on my thighs around my knees.I've tried Gold Bond dry skin lotion, vaseline, cocoa butter, baby oil! I don't dry off after taking a shower I just stay wet and put my lotion or vaseline or baby oil on, but the next day I'm dry again. I try to drink enough water during the day to stay hydrated but I still have the dry skin.
All I can say is we all may need to get some medicated cream or lotion for our skin or ask our surgeons what we can buy that actually works!
A couple of the people at my support group meeting tonight said they had horrible reactions to the dermabond used to glue the incisions together and one of them said that the only thing that she found that stopped the intense itching was preparation H. I don't know if this will work for your dry itchy skin, but hey its worth a try!
