Bad day
I had such a bad day yesterday. (Haven't had RNY yet) I had a feeling it was going to be bad
when I realized that how busy I was going to be and how much we were going out to eat. I started out the day horrible...Was only able to eat two eggs for breakfast. For lunch we went out, as our work gave us two hours to do what we wanted. I had a chef salad and clam chowder. Got back to work and we had a meeting and had a 1/4 roast beef sub (3") and a mini ruby red cupcake (only 1). And for dinner, had broccoli, corn, and ribs 1/4 rack. Weighed this morning and didn't gain.....yeah.
Well today is a new day and have done ok so far.
Ate a 2 egg cheese omelet with salsa on it and a yogurt. Getting ready to eat lunch. Not sure what I am going to have but maybe a sandwich and a bunch of water.....
I have to work the night shift. Any suggestions on what would be a good item to snack on. I have to go to the store to get some other stuff, so want to get something healthy to snack on because I get hungry around 2-3AM and water will only do so much. I would like something that is high in protein and low in carbs.....to keep me full longer.

Do you have hypertension?
I like My Bariatric Pantry's protein crisps. I actually like them better than potato chips. It is high protein and portion controlled. I like their proteinbars, too. 15 grams of protein in 140-180 calories. You can also bring a cooler with blue ice in it for snacks that need to be kept cold.
No more ribs. But you knew that. Way too much fat. Fat makes your liver produce cholesterol. Four eggs in only two days? That is way too much cholesterol. See if you can find a brand of egg substitute that you like. Try lean meats like Canadian bacon.
If you have a microwave at work, you can even make outmeal at work. Trader Joe's has a frozen Steel Cut version that just has to be microwaved. Comes in a plastic pouch. Water already added. But you have to add protein for satiety. the soluble fiber will help to lower cholesterol.
Why am I alarmed at the cholesterol levels you are eating? Bill for last month's heart attack--two days in hospital only-- $60,787.91 not including physicians. Every risk factor controlled except obesity. I don't think you want to join me in cardiac rehab.
