forgive me if im missing something here...as RNY patients we wait atleast 30 minutes after a meal to drink because the liquid would flush the food out of our stomachs. So my question is, what happens after that 30 minute period that is different than what would happen lets say 10 minutes after eating then drinking? Thanks in advance =) Nicole

Food has already started to leave the pouch on its own.  If you still wash some food out of the pouch, at least you've delayed the time you'll start to get hungry again.

My surgeon tells us not to drink for 1 1/2 hours after a meal. It is really hard, but I do my absolute best to stick to it. It is the hardest rule, but it is also a very important one!
