Need help... Anyway to combat the loosing of hair or to at least slow it down?  I have just started noticing that it is falling out more this past week. I get all my protein plus more in daily. Thanks for the help.

I've heard things like extra biotin & zinc, using the Nioxin system, even doing Rogaine. Not sure how much faith I put into any of them. I'd been using Nioxin for a month and haven't seen much of a difference. What has worked is getting my hair cut short. Sometimes it's just gonna be a trade off - the weight loss & extreme surgery vs a few thin patches...... Personally, I prefer people noticing my thinning butt over my thinning hair.

Unfortunately it just seems like part of the process for many of us. My hair started falling out at the beginning of my third month and continues. I get in at least 100g of protein a day and use Nioxin to no avail. Just rest assured that eventually it will stop and your hair will grow back. I would rather have thinning hair in the short term than be heavy forever.

My hair started shedding around the 4th month. I started using a vitamin called silica along with biotin and zinc and I must say that I noticed a change within 3 weeks. My hair texture was even changing, so I must say when I added that vitamin it really helped reduce the shedding.  You can google it and read up on it.

The hair is gunna come out no matter what. NOTHING is going to keep it from happening. Biotin and Nioxin only help with REgrowth. Just keep with what you are doing and you will be fine. Bear in mind it is only hair and it will come back, but hey if it doesn't they make some kickass wigs that look awesome on people.

Completely agree! If you are one of the people that lose hair, there is nothing you can do to stop it. Save your money. The hair will grow back.

I'm three months out and mine has just started coming out a lot. I probably lose about 75 strands with each shower. Fun stuff. But you know what? I look at it this way -  It's just one more thing my body is shedding during this metamorphosis. ;)

Apparently it's the normal course of things. Happens to most of us. I take Biotin every day and I switched to Wen Cleansing Conditioner instead of regular shampoo. (I color my hair so it's drier to begin with. I'm menopausal which also causes your hair to thin out.) It may be coincidental but I don't seem to be losing as much now.
