Hot flashes???
Everytime I eat I get hot afterwards. Almost like a hot fla****urn the fan on and cool off and then I'm fine after a few minutes. Does this happen to anyone else? I'm only 33 so I'm pretty sure menopause isn't the answer. It doesn't happen when I eat something specific either. Thought I'd throw this out there and see if I'm alone on this one...

I'm going to take a SWAG (scientific wild assed guess) and say it may have something to do with the rapid release of hormones during the weight loss phase. I had the opposite effect. I had been having hot flashes before my surgery (I am 53) and afterwards they pretty much stopped.

Actually, it has more to do about the changes in your vascular system to feed your gut during digestion than anything else. If you eat a high carb, sugar or fat meal, it could happen too. During warm, humid weather I've felt more hot flashes after eating a regular high protein meal than I have before the weather turned so warm, or at any other time of the day.
Once I was able to eat with relative ease, I would start sweating by the time I finished eating. It happened on a regular basis. I was very careful about carbs and definitely noticed when I ate certains carbs, but I also sweated when I didn't. The farther out I became the sweating when eating eventually stopped. I will say I have had some reative hypoglycemic episodes....not too many, but I have had them. That has caused me to wonder if the sweating issues were precursors to those. I have no idea though.
