Newbee to this site

 Hello all!  I am 15 days out from my surgery.  I've lost 18 lbs so far!  yippee.  Looking for support, encouragement , receipes etc.

weight at surgery 243

You can get all those things here.  It will help if you are more specific in your subject line.  For example - looking for puree recipes, or looking for snack ideas, or whatever. 

I've found everyone very willing to give emotional support too.  It is great to throw a post out there and get responses from different people.  Some will be keepers, and others maybe not  - it just depends on the subject and what side of the bed we got up on!

Feel free to offer assistance to others too.  Even early out, there is always someone just a little earlier in the journey- so you may have just the right answer to a question!

I can't really say enough about how much I've gotten from this site because it has been my primary support for almost two years now.  I don't go to a group or anything like that.

Welcome Massagelady! This is a great site, lots of good people here and lots of support. It can be a crazy ride but is so worth it. You can find lots of recipes too, use the search engine to look for a certain topic or post new topics. The world according to eggface, bariatric eating and bariatric foodie have some good recipes.
