Just thinking...

Three of my four daughters are grown and my youngest is almost 17.  My step children, on the other hand are 5 and 2.  (A girl and a boy).  They do tend to sort of run my days, but, for the most part I am able to handle it because we don't go out much.  We are homebodies.  When we do go out (to the park or for a picnic or whatever) I just feed them whatever I'm eating.  They like Lunchables .. so we usually take some sort of lunch meat, cheese and crackers.  They drink Gatorade.. I drink Powerade Zero or Vitamin water Zero or whatever.  =]   I just pack an extra slice of lunch meat for me and only 1 or 2 crackers (and no cheese for me.. I don't like cheese).

It's easy, portable and they like that we are eating the same thing.

I dont have kids but do have a hectic life.  I am still pre op but have gotten in the habit of carrying a small thermal lunch bag with me, it has my approved snacks and  a protein shake in there.  I figure i may as well get used to this so i dont get "Caught" later on............This  was a suggestion from my aunt.  She also said to keep your snacks handy and conveinient at home.  I keep string cheese, protein shakes, yogurt etc in the fridge perpetually..........takes  about a minute to pack my bag!!!!
Then i'm ready for the day...........Just a thought!!!
