X-post: What do I need to remember--plastics one week from today
Looking for advice about what you needed or found helpful for the hospital and early out days. I'm planning on pre-making some meals for the family, but assume I won't have much of an appetite, so am planning ready-to-drink shakes and light protein snacks. Speaking of RTD shakes--any favorites? I never used them.
Okay, help me get organized! I feel like I'm in nesting mode. My poor kids won't have any toys left by the time I'm done!!!
Thanks,
Denise

Protein. I love the chocolate... the vanilla's not terrible. I haven't see but I have heard their is strawberry. Best thing is they are 30 g of protein in 11 ounces, 160 cal, 5 carbs. Best I can find in a RTD. And like I said, they're actually good.
I assume we're talking plastic surgery? Tummy tuck? Whatcha gettin' done?
I still have a 100 pounds to go, but I can't wait to get my bat wings done... Ah!!
Good luck!
Thanks for the well wishes!

thankfully there were no kids for me to care for but I had to make a detailed list for BF on how to make my favorite drinks. I lived on protein drinks... I had no appetite... partially because I was probably incubating the ulcer that perforated 6 weeks after the TT... he would make 1 or two drinks first thing in the morning and keep them in the fridge for me...
I got a RAISED toilet seat at the pharmacy... because getting up and down off the toilet was PAINFUL.... it really was a godsend the first week... I'm 10 weeks out and it still hurts to sneeze... but I finally can stand up straight... they are about $25 and worth it! he's using it now because of his bad knee....ROFL
I needed help moving EVERYTHING the first few days... it even hurt to pee...
And sorry you had such a rough run with the ulcer. Oh my goodness, that was probably terrible! I do have to make a tutorial on how to make my favorite protein drinks because RTD will get old I'm sure. I gotta have my Caramel "Mock"iatto first thing in the morning.
Thanks again!

For clothes -- make sure you have comfy things available. I bought long tanks to wear under my binder. I also bought an additional binder that worked better under clothing - and actually supported me better - than the one my surgeon gave me. You'll be swollen for a while, pull out some of your 1 size too big clothes for a bit.
