I am on the countdown to surgery with 4 days ahead of me......

Any suggestions on things that i should or should not do? If you could go back what would you add or subtract away from the experience?,,

I just want to get it rright the first time... and be back home to my bed and kids ......I took off 4 weeks from work so i can use this time to get a solid routine in. My job has crazy start times. I want to make sure i spend some real time with me......  Those glasses are filled with water not beer,!LLS

I would just make sure you have your meds, protein, and vitamins at home. Also, clean out the house of any foods that might be hard to be around and try to make this healthy change a family affair. Also, walk now so when you get home you can get right back to it. I was walking 10 min 5x a day but it depends on your doc. Good luck and don't worry. :)

Make sure your house is clean and that your family keeps it clean while you are in the hospital and home recovering!  I hated coming home to a dirty house after I spent so much time cleaning before I went to the hospital.  Also, just remember that the first month after the surgery is the most difficult, but it will get WAY, WAY better!

Spent time in the recliner because I couldn't lay down for about 1-2 weeks after I got home. If I had known better, I would have moved it into the bedroom prior - I didn't of it until my wife suggested it and that was the last night I used it anyway.
