My Kryptonite....UGH!
Football season. I never expected it to be this hard. I didn't even consider the habits that seem to pop up ONLY when football season opens.
Last night was home opener for my son's team....food is everywhere. At 4pm we feed the team then the mom's have dinner together to eat the left overs, then it is game time and the snack bar is open and all the mom's get yummy treats and share. Then after the game we ALWAYS have an after party. Last night it was at a pizza place, all the pizza, beer and wings you could eat.
I did good, I did not eat the mom's dinner which was burritos with tons or rice in them, I got a salad right before the game instead. I brought beef jerky with me for my contribution to the yummy treat, and I just ate nothing at the pizza after party. So I did fine, and I felt fine about it, it just sucks that I have to put up with this every week. It is all mental and habit.
It just sucks that I am 4 months out battling habits that I thought were long broken.

Lisa it sounds like you did a great job of managing. I know it's hard but you can do it, you already proved that. Maybe just try to plan to bring your own food/snacks with you to the games. Or maybe once in a while you can suggest a place to go for the dinner/aftergame that will have healthy options for you to choose from. You never know, their might be other parents there that need/want to eat healthier as well. Doesn't have to be just for weight loss, their might be diabetics or people with heart problems or allergies that can't eat all the crap either. Keep up the good work.
my friend asked me "how can i stand to be around food or cook seperate meals for my guy with food i can't eat,,?" i have found that if i am full with my own stuff for my pouch,, that i'm not even tempted to eat anything else,,so keep your pouch full of your healthy stuff and you should do fine...but it seems like you have already figured this out,,way to go
