Feeling down today

Well I guess I came into this week thinking that the surgeon would be calling me to tell me whether or not I was approved.  The first time they submitted the forms it took a week for them to call me and tell me I needed one more month of supervised weightloss, which has been done.  I guess I thought, and was also told, that it would take the same amount of time to get an approval/denial.  I guess I am just worried that I am going to be denied because I have lost 29 lbs in three months, which I know is great but I hope it didn't cause them to think that I can do this without the surgery.  If I was able to do that, I wouldn't even go this route.  I think this is the worst part of the whole process, waiting, waiting, waiting....and wondering of course.  Well enough venting.  Have a great day all....

Aww...don't be down.  It's only Wednesday.  2 more days yet before the week is over.  And I wouldn't worry too much about the 29lbs.  Unless it made your BMI too low, I don't think it matters if you lose weight in the pre-op stage.  Lots of folks do between working with nutritionists and trying to start  more healthy eating habits.

The shold be using the weight you were at during your first visit. We are all champions at losing the weight. We can diet anyone under the table. But keeping it off? Forget it.

Awe... please cheer up.  I haven't had surgery yet, but I've been to several support group meetings and spoken to many different people who've had the surgery and pretty much all surgeons require you to lose weight before surgery (mostly to shrink your liver and prove your commitment).  At Barix where I'm going you aren't allowed to gain any weight once you weight in at your consult, so I'm sure this has nothing to do with the delay at your insurance company.  They're an insurance company... they don't really care about being as quick as much as they want their monthly fees ;)

Good luck honey!!!

Peace & Blessings... Kelly
