Food choice

I am just wondering, I try to keep my protein between 60-90 and carbs between 90-120.  I tend to be a little hungry between lunch and dinnner.  What is the best choice to make when eating something - should I eat a protein rich food or a piece of fruit, such as a nectarine, peach, apple, etc?  Just wondering, as I have been hungry the last couple days around this time and usually I eat a piece of fruit.  Thanks in advance.

I think either one would be fine, whichever works best for you.  I include some protein in most of my snacks because it helps keep my blood sugar even.  So I would probably do something like some fruit and a piece of cheese.

I keep my protein over 100 and my carbs under 30.  I eat 4 meals a day so I don't have that afternoon hungry time.  I always do protein first.  It has worked for me.

I like to eat some protein in the afternoon. It keeps me full till dinner. I try to keep my snack around 100 calories 10 - 12 grams of protein. Cabot  50% reduced fat cheddar or beef jerky are two of my favorite afternoon snacks.
