Spicy BBQ Protein Shake

If you have read any of my posts in the past you may have figured out that I am not the most observant person around.  I tend to kind of space out and do things automatically, without giving things a lot of thought.  Which is the reason I have dumped not once but twice because I accidentally picked up the non sugar free version of a product I was buying.
So this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
I made my afternoon shake today as usual and took a drink and it tasted kind of, well, spicy.  It wasn't terrible or anything, just kind of had a kick.  I thought maybe I was imagining things and took another drink and kind of felt a burning at the back of my throat.  At this point I started to review what I had put in the shake.  Protein powder, check.  milk, check, marshmallow flavoring, check, sugar free chocolate syrup, uh, couldn't be sure so I looked in the fridge and in the  place I had returned the chocolate syrup was a bottle of spicy BBQ sauce.  The bottles were similar and I grabbed the wrong one.
I actually gave a little thought about finishing the shake since I hate to waste things but of course it went down the sink and I remade my shake with the right ingredients.  Much better.
I know new people are told to suck it up and get their protein shakes down but that was a lot to ask even for me.

I feel you.  I hate to see good protein go to waste but.. I would have poured it out too.  Sounds like something I would do.  My family will never let me forget the time I put the remote in the freezer.

Hee hee.  That's hilarious.  When I saw your title, I thought you were actually going to share a recipe for a spicy BBQ protein shake.  I was thinking ewwwww.

But do you think Nik could come up with a good recipe for one?

...And I was thinking "Holy crap! I gotta get her to photo that so I can put it on Bariatric Foodie!"

Um...a spicy BBQ protein shake, eh? I could see it as a protein soup more than a shake. I no like cold BBQ!

Nik could probably turn Maalox into a tasty protein drink.

I think I know why my daughter doesn't like to eat my cooking.

So if you were trying to cook, say, BBQ chicken, does the chicken ever end up with chocolate on it?

Mexican Mole sauce (which is not BBQ) has similar spices to BBQ with chocolate in it as well. I had it authentico once. Muy Bien!
