Approved for surgery!

I've finally been approved for surgery. Just got the word from insurance today! :) I am so excited. Now I'm ready to find out the date. I should hear something by Monday. I know you guys see these posts all the time, but I'm just so ready it's finally almost here and I wanted to share my excitement with some people that would understand. 

My only worry is that I'm going to a new position at work and my training starts next month and I cannot miss any training. I'm so worried it's going to interfere with my new job, but I'm just so excited for it to be here. It feels like so much is finally coming together for me. I cannot wait to begin this journey to a new, healthier me. :)

Thanks! :) I'm hoping so. I just really hope it all works out. I'd hate to have to postpone this new job. I definitely will not be postponing surgery! Lol.

Thats brilliant news Ashley.  I'm sure you'll be able to arrange a date around your new job. Your surgeon wont want you stressed about things while you're going through it and I'm sure will be happy to oblige.

Congratulations on the approval! Waiting for that was honestly the toughest part of this whole journey for me, but once I was approved I was so unbelievably happy. So I could imagine how great you must feel now! Good luck with surgery! :)

Thanks so much, you guys! I feel like this whole thing has been one big waiting game, but I'm finally almost done with all the waiting and I couldn't be happier. It's really nice to be able to talk about how excited I am and have people actually understand why I'm so excited. Thanks so much!

Congrats....You can postpone the surgery until after training.  If you do and it happens after the first of the year, try to find out if your company has plans to change your insurance.  That has happened to a number on the boards, and it happened to an acquaintance of mine.  A surgery date was set for the first of January only to find out his company was droping that coverage.  He had to start all over and had to wait another 6 months.  The new company would not honor all the work he did under his old policy.  Luckily WLS was not an exclusion on his new policy.

Congrats!!!! I also just received news that I was approved, omg Im so excited. My surgery is next week 9/28/11... I'm very nervous.  I wish you the best and again congrats, we are off to a healthy new life.....

Congrats on your surgery too! Good luck! Don't be nervous. You're gonna do wonderfully! I just got my surgery date. My Pre Op is Sept 28, My EGD is Oct 3 and my surgery is Oct 17. :D
