Immediately post op I became lactose intolerant. I could not drink protein shakes made with powder and skim milk or even soy. The few times I tried, I got really ill and sick to my stomach. You might try a premixed shake. I too had a very difficult time adjusting. Go slowly and remind yourself this stage and these feelings don't last long....they really don't. Stay with what works. Try drinking bullion made with a protein powder that can withstand high cooking temps, or try Unjury chicken broth protein. I was never able to do pureeds. I failed miserably at that stage, so I stayed on full liquids much, much longer. It worked well for me, personally. It gave my pouch a chance to heal well, and I was able to identify those foods that I could/couldn't eat. Hang in there.
