Isopure protein
There is no BEST protein, what's best is what you can tolerate and/or enjoy. As long as it's high and complete protein, and is low on calories and carbs- find one that you don't have to choke down.
My personal favorite is the About Time protein, it has great stats, mixes up super easily, and tastes AMAZING! Downside is, you can only buy it online, but it's worth it to have a protein that I love to drink!

I have the Isopure unflavored which you can add to anything to boost the protein content. I liked it fine before surgery; trouble is, since surgery Mr. Grouchy Pouch doesn't seem to like artificial proteins. I get nauseated when I try them--got some Oh Yeah samples, some nectar samples, etc. It makes it tough to get enough protein in during the day. I may try the tsp of protein powder in 1 oz.. of water to see if I can get just that much down.
so because i am having probs getting in protein i finally just said to heck with it i am going ot try to make a malt of sorts. So this morning took about 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup water, a couple frozen strawberries, a tablespoon of SF banana pudding powder and a couple ice cubes and a tablespoon UNJURY strawberry sorbet protein powder and in my bullet mixed this all up. I took a drink and it wasn't really flavorful accept i could taste the banana. I had bought some torani sf raspberry syrup so i put some of that in it and wow it was heavenly. Tomorrow i will make another for breakfast but add 2 tablespoons of protein..lol
That's what I found I had to do with shakes. Add a bunch of stuff to them, play with them, experiment. And I would do just what you said, try it with two tablespoons of protein tomorrow and if that much makes it taste bad, next time you can go back to just one tablespoon. But you can play around with adding different flavors to your shake, too. It's really cool when you finally make one that actually tastes good, huh?
