I don't know if it's the change of liquid to puree foods or lactose intolerence.  This is day 3 of puree foods.  Greek yogurt didn't effect me the first two weeks of liquid.  I've had cottage cheese for lunch the last three days.  Tastes good went down fine.  Didn't make a connection but I have cramps and the runs today.  Ouch.

Going to lay off all dairy for a few days and try some hummus and other things to see if that makes a difference.  Funny thing is yesterday I thought I was constipated. Today is the opposite.

Early out cottage cheese made me lactose intolerant but I love it so much I just chewed Lactaid and that fixed it.

"WLS is about making better choices, a healthier lifestyle and seeing how little you can eat.  Portion control is the key to all weight loss surgeries.  Bottom line - it isn't how much you can eat - it is how little you can eat."

Oh thanks, I was wondering about that.  Hope it doesn't last, but if it does....oh well....Lactaid it is then.

I have been lactose intolerant for a long time. Bloating, diahrrea, gas are the most common symptoms. I have found that greek yogurt is easier to digest, because the whey is where most of the lactose is found. I would also check your protein shake, if it isn't whey protein isolate you are getting lactose. If you decide that you are now lactose intolerant now, watch the labels for milk ingredients! They are in the darndest places!

yeah, my protein is 100% whey isolate and I use unsweetened almond milk for it.  I reckon it's the cottage cheese.  I'll give it a week or so and try again and see what happens.  Pity because it was a very handy quick lunch.

Cheese, cottage cheese and some yogurts do not have much lactose. I can eat them, yet I dare not eat ranch dressing thinned with milk.

Mine started before surgery. Extreme bloating, painful gas, followed by explosive diarrhea, shortly after meals. Once we've had WLS, the process is faster. LOL

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

I can also eat cheese and yogurt.  But not milk.  I got the runs for 2 days after having a skinny latte from Starbucks.  The time before I got the foamies real bad from a glass of skim milk.
