Was told to start a subL B12 (once a week)... So when I went to Walmart today the subL option I bought was B complex w B12.  I have read the box entirely... and it does not tell me whether I am suppose to do this one once a week or daily??   I am confused....

Here's the stats on it - in case that will help...

Riboflavin -1.7mg
Niacin - 20mg
Vit B6 - 2mg
Vit B12 - 1.2mg (1200mcg)
Pantothenic Acid - 30mg

You still need a sublingual B12 because we are lacking intrinsic factor that processes the kind we swallow. (They bypassed that) I get mine a Trader Joes, very inexpensive and they are like a little treat.  Good luck to you.

B complex is generally one daily with food. You should still take a separate sublingual B12 for the reason the PP stated.

OK... So now I am even more confused. Isn't the 1200mcg of B12 enough - I will take it sub-lingually. Just wondering if that is enough to take once a week or should I take it daily.
P.S.
If you read my post from above - I stated that I bought a sub-lingual B12/B complex today. It is combined... but there is no directions on it as to how often I should take it. I was thinking daily???

Anyone????

Thanks again,
Jamie

I have never heard of a B complex that is sublingual. If it is, then its something totally new. What's the name of it?

azreggie,

It is Spring Valley - Sublingual Liquid - B complex with B12. At Wal-Mart for $4.88.

That was the only sub-L I could find today.

That's what was throwing me off! It's a liquid, ok. Then yeah. That should be good. Once a day. Make sure that when you have your next set of labs checked that your B6 is on the list. It tends to run high in some people after surgery and can become toxic, in which case you'd have to back off the B complex.

That dose would be once a day or every other day.  The ASMBS recommends 350-500 mcg per day.

I use the same stuff daily and my B12 is a little high but my docs are fine with it.
