Most exciting day EVER!!!

Well, maybe not. I didn't win the lottery and Bradley Cooper hasn't proposed, so there is room for a more exciting day, but this ranks right up there.

Last night I decided to weigh myself for the first time since my plastic surgery. It was against my better judgement because we all know we should weigh first thing in the morning. But alas I decided to go ahead. I've read lots about retaining water after plastics and how many people weigh what they did prior to their surgery or sometimes even more. My husband asked if I was going to be upset if I weighed the same. I said I didn't really care since I know what I look like.  The scale could say I weigh 335 again, but I couldn't give a rat's you know what as long as I have a flat tummy.

My pre-plastic weight was 200. Last night the scale said I weigh 187!!!!! I haven't weighed that much since High School. And that is with 2-1/2 pounds of new boobies!! At night! With postop swelling! OMG. I totally forgot to check my BMI now. I might actually be just overweight and not obese!!!

Now it gets better. My husband decided to weigh himself. He weighed 7 pounds MORE than I did!!!!! What a milestone that is! I finally weigh less than my husband. I truly never thought I'd see this day. Now in his defense, he claims that it is his manhood that is adding the extra weight, so I guess I have to factor tha int. LOL.

Now I know it is hard to believe, but it gets better still. I decided to try on some pants. Granted, I still have my drains in, but I thought I'd be able to tell if I was in the same size for the most part. I was wearing an 18, with the occasional generously cut 16 prior. I tried on a 14. It was 3" too large in the waist. I had a pair of 12's that my very fit and trim friend gave me. If you knew her you'd know that I NEVER imagined being able to fit into anything she ever wore--ever. Well, they fit. THEY FIT!!!!!!! Did I mention they fit? And they looked cute.

This is truly a monumental day. I am only saddened that my parents are not here to see me. I know the "see" me, but it just isn't the same. I want my daddy to be able to wrap his arms around me and my mommy to go shopping with me. They'd have been so thrilled for me. And it is because they worked so hard and provided me with an inheritance with which I was able to afford my plastics without it being a huge financial hit, so for that I am profoundly grateful.

Having been obese since the age of 10, I have to say that this is truly almost like a miracle to me. And having said that, know that regardless of how hopeless your weight situation may be, you can find your way to success where your weight is concerned.

I hope each and every one of you gets to experience the euphoria I am feeling today. And if I'm dreaming don't wake me up!

Reading this post made me feel so good. I hope to be in a position financially to do this soon. In the meantime, I am very happy for you. Your happiness just oozes through your words!! Congrats on reaching such huge milestones!! :) 

First I must say you are simply beautiful!!! I will pray for your financial situation to be one that allows for you to bring your journey full circle with your plastic surgery.  You surely have done a fantastic job with your weight loss. You must be very proud.

Wow I just love your post, the excitement and happiness just bubbles over!  I cannot wait until I have lost my weight I have just begun my journey, only 3weeks post op.  Your post gives me hope that I will be there someday!
