I live in Upstate NY, and the word just came out that Trader Joe's is opening their first store here next year!!!  I hear people mention it all the time on here, but I have never been to one.

What should I be most excited about?? What are your favorite products?  Thanks!

LOVE Trader Joe's. My faves right now are frozen ahi tuna steaks with marinade, frozen asian veggie mix with sauce, and a vindaloo personal frozen dinner. My kids LOVE the garlic naan (flat bread) and the frozen fetuccini alfredo.

they have those frozen type foods like that mentioned above.  But they seem to have lots of awesome fresh fruit and vegies and things like different cheeses etc..

They have the best sublingual B12 tabs, too.  They just melt under the tongue in about 30 sec.

I love their entire range of organic foods, but simply can't afford to buy all my groceries there!

Enjoy!

I'm totally going to get their B12 tabs now.  I live an hour away from the closest TJs, but I'd shop there regularly if it was closer, as their prices are the cheapest in the area.  Especially the cheeses!

I love their little miniature brie cheeses and their goat cheese medallions.  I pack 2 of those and some pretzels or a fruit and it's the perfect snack!

I LOVE trader joes!!! I used to work there so I mostly tried everything. I'm hooked.

The things I get are:

cheese (brie is my favorite and the cheese prices are better than most places)
nuts
frozen indian food dishes
frozen edamame
b12 siblingual (it's great because it dissolves so quickly)
whole wheat pizza dough
different flavored chicken sausages (spicy italian is my favorite)
whole grain crackers
crab cakes, salmon patties, fish, and other frozen meat
canned crab (i don't like it but a lot of people do)
butternut squash soup
frozen oatmeal
frozen berries to mix in shakes
whole wheat tortillas
soy milk, almond milk
hummus (my favorite is the white bean hummus. they have the BEST hummus!)
sweet potatoe fries
shrimp stir fries
chili lime chicken burgers (i'm not crazy about them but my husband loves them and they have great stats!)
different nut butters (i like almond butter)
curry tuna (microwavable in the dry food aisle. really good!)
pirate booty (the off brand pirate booty is cheap, and tasty)

I will probably think of more.

i wish mine had all the stuff you guys are naming! tiny manhattan grocery stores are the worst! (we do have a trader joes wine shop that is amazing though, can't beat a $3 bottle of wine!). usually all i get there is bacon (its $7 at most store around here, $4 there), fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and bread (their loaves of bread are so good). sometimes i'll pick up other random things but those are the staples. the reduced guilt tortilla chips are good, but the bag i bought has lasted me close to a month and a half already and they surprisingly aren't stale.

The sublingual b12 tabs are the total bomb!! I love almost everything from Trader Joes but unfortunately for me it is 3 1/2 or 4 hours away - St. Louis or Kansas City. Maybe someday I'll live closer to one again. I can dream!!
