Will this affect my surgery???

Well, here I am again. Just a weekend away from surgery...

I've been feeling less than perfect, though. I don't really feel "sick" but I've got all kinds of lovely sinus drainage and the sneezy, runny/stuffy nose thing going on...

Not sure if it's a head cold or if it's just allergies, but could either of those postpone my surgery again? I really hope not, but I'm really worried about something else coming up to push me back yet again.

Was anyone else under the weather when their surgery date rolled around? Did you have to postpone your surgery?

I'm trying not to worry too much about it... :/

are you on the all liquid diet at this time?
and if so, are these symptoms of that "low carb flu" people have mentioned?
i'm not sure, so i can't be of help, but i'm curious and hope your sugery doesn't get postponed!

My surgeon actually doesn't require an all liquid diet. I only have to do a low calorie/low carb diet, but I didn't get the sniffles the first time I went through my pre-op diet, so I don't think it's related to that. I suppose I will start praying that this goes away before Tuesday, but I will talk to my surgeon's office on Monday when I go to weigh in again to see if it will make me have to postpone my surgery again. That would really suck!

Do you have an elevated temperature? Can you still breathe clearly? Do you have lung congestion?
My allergies were going off before surgery, 24 hours in a sterile environment fixed that! I did just fine, I hope you just have allergies and not a nasty cold virus! Don't want to end up with pneumonia post op!

No fever, no chest congestion, and other than one nostril at a time being plugged, there's no difficulty breathing. No cough or anything either. Just very itchy nasal passages, runny and stuffy nose (how is that even possible? lol) and sneezing. Admittedly, the sneezing probably won't be so pleasant after surgery, though. :(
