Why?

Why did I only lose 1 lb this whole month of October?

I am out 6 months exactly tomorrow, down to 165lbs from 236 day of surgery.  I was a size 18/20 down to an 8.  Why am I not happy about that?  Why is it not enough?  When will I just be happy to be thin and to have a BMI that is normal?  When will I believe people when they tell me, "look how thin you are"

When will my mind catch up with my body?  Why is it taking so long?

I am afraid I am going to gain all of my weight back, I am convinced that I will and that I will be so sorry that I did not take the time to enjoy being a single digit size.  Even today I was thinking how my size 8's were feeling like they were getting big, and then I thought that one say these will be my skinny pants again.....why do I think this?

Thank GOD!! I have support group tonight.  I am going to pour it all out on them and probably cry.  I don't understand.  Why can't I be happy?

Have you ever come on to this support site finding someone in the same shoes as you are...HELLO, me tonight...you are about the fourth one today with this same concern.  We are not alone!  This is the reason for this site.  Thank you for writing and opening up with your concerns.  I have not lost any weight in three months/going on four!  I have lost almost 60 lbs, and have 40 to goal, but it looks helpless to me right now..

but seeing others that are struggling, or been through this same thing gives me courage...hang in there, you can do, so can I, as others have done and continue to do.. I WILL NOT GIVE UP!

Good thing we have each other on here to get through the tough times.  Keep in tough, AND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK..

i DON'T THINK YOU ARE UNHAPPY, FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN CAN DO CRAZY THINGS.  JUST REMEMBER WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED...GREAT JOB

OMG!  3 months!  and you haven't lost anything!  OMG!  Please no!

I just want to WL part to be over so I can start to work on maintaining, I have such fear of gaining it all back.

Well, thanks for your response and you hang in there too.  It is hard when there is not reward weekly on the scale.  I remember once, a while back, when I was really new at this still a person asked what was the hardest part of this RNY thing, being a total newb I said, "the first week" cause at that time it was the hardest part.

I remember a few vets said the hardest time was when they stopped losing weight.  I totally see what they are taking about now.  I remember that vet saying that when the scale no longer goes down this whole things gets alot harder.  It is harder to turn down the Halloween candy, to get to the gym to eat the protein first.  It just is when there is harder when there is no reward.

Thank God I'm not the only one! I didn't loose anything month 6, 7 or 8. Two weeks into month 9 and so far I have lost a bit each week.  Hopefully that contuines.

I have read tons about stalls but glad to hear I'm not the only one to stall out for 3 months.

Hope your weight loss picks up again-

Valerie

I wish I had an answer for you.  I have been bouncing the same two pounds around   for a full month.  I will be  four months out on the 7th.  I just want to start losing again.
