Sort of OT - Knowledge is power!
My dad has stage 4 kidney disease. He's had problems with his hemoglobin going down. They did all kinds of tests to see what the issue was and didn't find anything conclusive.
I talk to him all the time and I was telling him about not taking calcium or coffee or tea within 2 hours of your iron. So he started doing that. And low and behold, his hemoglobin started coming back up. He's out of the danger zone now. His nephrologist had never heard of calcium interferring with the absorbtion of calcium but agreed that something was working. That was the only change Dad had made to his meds/supps.
