Hello all,
I am getting ready to go back to school for my RN and was wondering if you like the Nook or Kindle.  I plan on buying my books and have them available on there instead of carrying all those heavy books.  I just need to know which one you like better and why?  Thanks in advance.

Love my Color Nook! I can make the font as large as I need it to be. It is heavier than the regular Nook, though, so if color is not mandatory to you, save some money and get the regualr Nook.

Just bought the Kindle Fire and absolutely LOVE it..........cross between a tablet computer and a reader. Best of both worlds!

I have a first generation Kindle that I love.  I am not in school though.  Have you asked the school?  I would imagine that instructors would have some opinions and be able to help answer your questions based on the texts, etc. they use and the ciriculum.  Also, have you looked at www.allnurses.com?  It's a nursing message board for nures, and nursing students and there is a wealth of experience and knowledge over there.

Good luck!  Going back to school is so challenging and rewarding.

I have a Kindle, that I love, however, I can not use it for texts that I am trying to learn from.  The format makes it harder for me to read/understand, probably because I am not writing questions in the margin, underlining impo concepts, and the ability to flip between concepts/chapters is severely limited.  I'd personally be cautious of using a Kindle/Nook for your texts, unless you are sure the format works for you.
