I had my surgery Friday 18 Nov and came home today 19 Nov2011
I had surgery Monday and came home on Wednesday afternoon, and I thought my stomach was literally going to explode with gas. Walking did help me, but not instantaneously. It took me a good day of walking every few hours for and my husband was hilarious about it. I had been complaining to him about the gas pain and he says to me, "What are you going to do if you have to pass it and the nurses are in your room?" I told him I was going to let'er rip and that they better be just as excited about it as I would be. lol I told them nurses and they all said, "HECK YEAH!!!" When I finally passed gas it was Tuesday evening 4 times in a row and it was the most glorious thing in the world at that moment, I text my husband I was so excited. lol Good luck!
