Xylitol as sweetener

Here is another natural sweetener. Any recomendations regarding xylitol?

It's a sugar alcohol, but it's really low on the Glycemic Index (they usually use this to make SF gum).

This is my preferred sweetener, as I think stevia has a nasty aftertaste and this bakes really well. Just be careful, as some people do have gastric distress if they ingest too much SA's.

Can'tuse xylitol - gas issues.  Have you tried Whey Low?  I get it at Whole Foods and you can bake with it.  I've had no ill effects - it's a milk sugar.  M have made nut breads with it and you would never know the difference.  It says it is for diabetics.
