Where do I put my hands? Anyone else have this prob?
My friends and sisters used to laugh and say I sat like a pregnant person. I always rested my hands on top of my belly. It was the only comfortable postion for them. I completely understand about church too! I was never able to kneel in prayer because my stomach was too big.
Congratulations on your date in January!
I totally get this! I even used to try different poses with my arms and hands to see which made me look thinner when I was sitting, standing up, etc. Of course at 340 pounds no amount of posing your arms is gonna make a difference, so finally I settled on keeping my hands in my pockets most of the time... they stayed in there pretty well.

I usually put may hands on my hips when I am standing. This makes me look twice as wide but it is the only comfortable position.
When I stand up in church my "dunlop" lops over the seat in front on me as well. If the person in front of me stands up as well we're good. On Mother's Day the pastor asked the mother's to stand up. The man in front of me did not. I almost died of embarrasment when my belly bumped him in the back of the head and he truned around to see what had happened.
I ususally clasp my hands on my stomach or grab one thumb with the other hand. People ofen ask me if I had something wrong with my hand.
It does not sound at all stupid.
I too look forward to solution of "the hand issue".
funny how we think of different things that other people do not even blink an eye about.. haha
things will change for you tho
have a great day
