I am overhwhelmed at trying to find the vitamins to start taking pre-op!  There are so many to choose from!  Lozenges, chews, sprays, capsuls, oh my!

Just curious, which are on the no-try list?  I think I am leaning towards Bariatric Advantage because their site is so easy to navigate.  Bariatric Eating was too loud and I couldn't understand which vitamins I needed, and VitaLady had too many to choose from.

So who do you buy from?

I take the centrum silver chewables for my multi..will switch to swallowables when i get done with this whole bottle i have.

I take B12 sublinguals Natures bounty from CVS..decent tasting..no probs with them..i take them like 4 times a week.

i take D3 and they are sublinguals.  These are Michaels brand.

I use the chews from Bariatric Advantage.  They are like starbursts but i like the carmels and chocolates but i LOVE the raspberry.  You have to take like 6 a day though so i also bought some Calcets from Bariatric Advantage to take like once a day.  They are 500 mg each.

I take natures bounty vitamin C - 500's chewables and i take carbonyl iron 2 tablets which i swallow. I take both of these at night at bedtime 2 hours after i have had any calcium.

I like to mix my vitamins up over the day.

Once a day I drink one:
Multivitamin & Calcium Drink Mix (Citrus Splash) by Celebrate Vitamins

And spread the rest of these over the day:

2 MVI capsules from Building Blocks ( a bariatric vitamin company)  bbvitamins.com
1-2 Antioxidant capsules from Building Blocks
3 Calcet Calcium chews (500mg each) Lemon is good, chocolate is awesome!
1 Bariatric Advantage chewable Iron tab (60 mg) but just switched to 1 Bifera tab daily
1 Bariatric Advantage sublingual Vitamin B12

If I do not drink the Celebrate mix, I add one more Multivitamin to my regimen.  I also take senna with stool softener and a couple of fiber gummies a day if needed.

Go to the Celebrate and Building Blocks websites, they both offer free sample packs of their products-I really recommend sampling things before committing to them.  Celebrate has good customer service and even sent me an email when it was time to re-order.  Good Luck!

You need a multi with 100% of the RDA of stuff twice a day, calcium citrate, iron and B12.  Plus D 3 if your vitamin D level is (almost everyone is low in vitamin D pre op).  Stay away from kids' vitamins, gummy vitamins and the all-in-one bariatric vitamins, because those do not have everything we need in them.

Who I buy from depends on which vitamin you're asking about.  Last time I bought a multi, I got it at Meijer, just the generic store brand.  I buy calcium from Colonial Medical (I get Upcal D from them), Celebrate and Bariatric Advtange.  I recently bought iron and vitamin C from iherb.com.  I buy D3, A, zinc and magnesium oxide from vitalady.com.  And I get B12 and syringes (I do injections) from the Kroger pharmacy.

I found multi and D3 chewables and B-12 sublingual at CVS, walmart, Rite Aid.  The only chewable I bought on-line was tender iron from Vitalady.  I usually buy from CVS when they are BOGO free.
