ABNORMAL LAB TEST BEFORE SURGERY!! HELP!!!
I TESTED POSITIVE ON " LEUKOCYTE ESTERASE, UA POSITIVE"...IS THIS A UTI? (URINARY TRACT INFECTION? I WAS ON MY MENSTRAL WHEN I DID THE TEST..... NEVER HAD ONE BEFORE BUT MY SURGERY IS ONLY 3 DAYS AWAY!! WILL MY SURGEON CANCEL OR START ME ON ANTIBIOTICS????!!!!! PLEASE HELP

Yes, it could indicate a UTI but it could also be something else. Unfortunately, only your surgeon can tell you whether it will delay your surgery. It probably depends on how high the white blood cell count was...

Did you have a cold when you gave the sample? What was your WBC? Did they know you were on menses?
8 days to go and I'm also fighting off a cold. It is a little better today. I'm most worried about the cough and hope it doesn't get worse.
