My Christmas wish........

Dec. 2009 I was excited about my upcoming surgery in Feb and getting healthy for once as I ate anything that was bad and unhealthy that came near me.  I think I ate an entire cheesecake and I know a box of doughnuts.

Dec. 2010 Santa got my request and I lost over 100lbs and preparing to run my first half marathon in Feb for my one year surgiversary.

Dec. 2011 almost two years out and maintaining from 280 to 155....down from a 22/24 to a 6/8

So now my ongoing Christmas wish will be to continue to maintain and be healthy.

I used to dread the holiday social gatherings as they were always loaded with great food that was bad for you.  BUT thanks to my RNY WLS....I can't eat any processed sugar without dumping....and that is not fun!!!  So I have made a lifestyle change and seriously I don't miss it one bit.  Being healthy and happy and loving who I am now is one of the best gifts that I have ever received for me.

This is me wearing a Tree Skirt LOL!!!!

Christmas 2009... I look like a linebacker!!!!

So what is your WL Christmas Wish?!

Michelle,

I have no doubt in my mind that you will be 100 pounds lighter.....

Just follow your instructions and do what is asked....drink lots of water and get in your protein  find a work out program and listen to your body.

I am still classified as overweight...but I am at peace with where I am.  Actually, if I lose any more I will start looking like a crackhead and that is not a great look for me...lol!!!!

Over all I am healthy...no more sleep apnea, not more boarderline diabetic, no more circulation issues in my legs.....

Can't wait to see your results!

Remeber this is a life style change!

Hey chick!  You look great, and I love the tree skirt!  You could rock that at a party!

I'm with you-my wish is to keep up my good habits in maintenance and stay healthy....not "thin", just healthy.  I don't care what number is on the scale as long as I'm this size and I can do the things I do....had an AWESOME run yesterday....perfect weather!

Take care!

My Christmas wish list...I am getting closer to it as each post-op year passes. That is to celebrate the meaning of the season and not worry so much about food! This year I look forward to enjoying my family. I just celebrated the birth of a new, precious baby nephew and I have a neice coming in April. I just can't wait to get together with everyone and have a good time.

...and make them sing the Twelve Days of Christmas (they hate it but it is my tradition and I'm sticking to it!)

Nik...I love traditions like that.....

My daughter is 18 and we still do reindeer dust and cookies, milk and food for reindeer.....

Stick to your guns.......they really like it they just dont want to admit it!!!!

Isn't it amazing when you are not worrying so much about food and eatting how much you enjoy company with others...I know that is the case for me...since looking at food as survival and not comfort and social gatherings...I notice a lot more that goes on around me...

my christmas wish is also to stay healthy. i would like to get down to size 14 by christmas. i am currently size 16 from size 22/24. loving evry bit of it. hearing how great i look and people can see the wieght come off. i sleep better but when up my arthrits in my back is not getting any better , but i do my workout with my band and a wieght. my highest wieght was 269 surgery was 254.4 and now 190.6 amazing to be below the 200 mark . never want to see that again. does anyone have good recipes that good for me, like to try new things but its hard cause there is only me and my fiance and he loves pork chops chicken but i like to try something new to make it more protein and to dress it up more. My fiance loves brown rice and whole wheat pasta. even tho i can keep it down i had to stop eating them so i like something more that he will enjoy as well as myself. He likes to try new things and i want him to be healthy as i am doing. he said he could lose like 15 pounds so any help would be great. thanks

BUT after workign HARD to gain.. Im now up to 137ish... and LOVING where Im at now again

Babygirl got her surgery March 3rd...     She's from 339 to 200 as of 6/14/2012.. SOO proud of my bigbabygirl
