And you are so close!  Keep it up and good luck!  It sounds strange that only 200 calories a day will stop you from losing weight, while down 200  keeps taking it off.

I really don't know if I could add too much more food or else I will have to eat more then 4 ounces at a time, Well sometimes I only eat an ounce at a time.  Maybe 2 small pieces of cheese instead of one.

Man it is going to be funny to try to STOP from losing weight after a 40 year life time of living every day trying to lose!

I am determined to add calories without reverting to old habits.  It is easier then I thought it would be.  A tablespoon of nut butter adds about 100 calories, an extra protein shake for me is about 200 calories.  I am gradually adding things in a controlled manner so I can find out what my body needs to maintain.  So far I am eating about 2000 calories a day and not gaining but I stopped losing for the most part.  About every week I add another 100 calories and see what happens.  I'm not too concerned because I am still in my "honeymoon" period, only 16 months out.  I expect that bounceback any time now.

Just wondering Ladytazz, how long do you think the honeymoon period lasts? I had surgery about 18 months ago,and I have not changed my diet or exercize (or lack thereof) hardly at all and yet I've been stalled for about 2 months or so. Does anyone know if there is a true way to tell when the malabsortion is gone?

I am close like you are. it is harder to get it to come off now but oh well I am ok with it. Only 5 pounds to goal. I say let your body settle at a weight it wants to then worry about maintenance. So if you do go lower then 145 and you bounce back some it wont stress you out to much.

When you get to where you are in maintenance I have heard upping calories is how you stay there. Just make them quality calories.
