How long until you could tolerate popcorn again? I am nowhere near able to eat it as I am in puree stage.. I am just curious!

Thanks.

I probably waited about three months to try it.

Same for me. I have a little at the movies, but mostly I do hot air popped and only about a cup or so.

I just recently started having some again after 16 months.  No real reason except I didn't feel like it until then.

I think I waited about six months, but only because I was chicken and had heard horror stories. It doesn't bother me in the least, though, so I have it maybe 2-3 times a month.

I waited about 6 months, but now I eat it at least 2x p/wk. I get the 94%ff and it still tastes buttery and delicious. I've also noticed that it makes things move, if ya know what I mean!

I didn't think popcorn was allowed at all after RNY? That's what it says in the huge "getting ready for surgery" binder I got from my doctors office...?

I think you have to go by what your MD says. My surgeon says no coffee, not even decaf, but I see lots of people who drink it every day. Wouldn't hurt to shoot an email to your NUT. I'm going to ask my NUT because I'd love some help with pooping!
