Yes, but I would suggest giving it a try at home, like a week before the party. Salami can be very fatty, and not all fats sit well post op, and you don't want to find out about a reaction at the party.

Yes, as long as the high fat content does not bother your digestive system. (I am more sensitive to high fat than to sugar.) Regular ham or non-fatty cold cuts would be better choices, though.

MY DIETIAN RECOMMENDED HAVING ONE PIECE TO SATISFY THE TASTE, BESAUSE I LOVE HARD SALAMI. THE REST SHOULD BE THE OTHER LEAN DELI MEATS LIKE TURKEY, LITE HAM DELI ROAST BEEF ETC. I HAVE HAD SOME SINCE SURGERY AND TOLERATED IT FINE.  GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PARTY AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
