Saying "Goodbye" to my BIG clothing!

December 17th, 2011 (153.6 lbs)

March 1, 2010 (before surgery) 270lbs.

Boy, it sure feels good to bag up all the big-sized clothing to take to Goodwill/Salvation Army.  I spent all day yesterday gathering items together.  Hard to believe that I was a size 24-26.  When I hold those clothes up to me now--it's astonishing how large those clothes are.  I filled every square inch of them too when I wore them--they were tight on me right before I had my surgery last March.  I'm down about 116lbs now.  I'm thrilled about that.  I wear approximately a size 10, 1,2 or 14 depending on the clothing type.  Very satisfied with my progress.  The jeans I had on in the photo yesterday are actually too big for me now--a bit baggy but that's okay.  It's hard to find the perfect size because I keep losing weight...which is a good thing until I reach my goal weight.  Hopefully when I do reach my goal weight, I'll be able to start buying more clothes that fit perfectly.  For now, I'll settle for ones that fit reasonably well.  I'm just so glad I'm not facing putting on another pair of size 26 slacks again.  What a great feeling that is.  I have a lot to celebrate and be thankful for this holiday season.  RNY saved my life...or should I say..."Gave me my life back"!  For that I'm truly thankful.

Happy Holidays everyone!

I just had surgery last week, but I sent all my summer stuff  to goodwill early in october!! I was worried I may still 'need" them. But shoot, I lost 30lbs preop, and they wouldn't fit already! Glad I did it too!!

great job on you success!

First congratulations girl!  You look great!  I just weighed in at 236.4 (3 months postop) this morning and I was like thank you Lord and thank you Lord for gastric bypass surgery.  I haven't been this weight since high school probably.  Keep up the good work!  Enjoy your wonderful new life!

 You look wonderful

I can't wait to throw my clothes away. I have started to have to roll the waist of the jeans down already to hold them up. Yipppeee.

What a great feeling.
