Have your labs checked.  Potassium was something I dealt with early post-op.  I also can tell when my water intake is insufficient (which is way to often lately) and experience cramps often at night.

I also found addition magnesium to my daily vitamin and mineral regime helped tremendously.

Thanks all.  I have an appointment on Friday to get my labs checked.  I was so busy yesterday I know I didn't get my liquids in like I should.  I finally took tylenol and also a dose of my liquid pain med I have left.  I appreciate all the input.  Hopefully on Friday I will get the go ahead to eat other foods and be able to add bananas.

You all are the best resource!  Hugs!

I've tried everything from upping Pot and Mag and Cal, eating bananas, drinking way more....  The number one thing that has helped mine.... a heated mattress pad.  My legs/feet are so cold when I go to bed.  This has been a life saver.  A friend of mine who had RNY a few years ago clued me in on these.  I got mine from Penney's after a really, really bad night of cramps.. I happened to look online and they had 1/2 off all the mattress pads that day, and when I went in they gave me a $10 off at the counter.  We ended up buying a  dual control (have two controllers on our headboard) one.  It's fantastic and the cramps have stopped.

A good friend of mine who had VSG says she gets cramps when it is time for her B-12 shot and if she is late they get worse and worse.

Are you taking B-12?  Is it past time?  Maybe your doctor will also check that level with your lab work.

Another thought.  Do you have Obstructive sleep apnea?  I get really bad cramps if I fall asleep and dont put on my CPAP.
