Appetite suppressants

I gained 50 lbs during my pregnancy. I did nothing different. I didn't give into too many cravings, ate sensibly, stayed active, and still the weight piled on. I dropped 30 lbs in the first month which made me think that it was mostly water. My daughter is 11 weeks old now and I'm not dieting at all, just doing research for when I've weaned her. I've hit a plateau for the past month where I've bounced around 5 lbs up and down. I'm thinking the 30 was all I'd lose doing the breastfeeding thing. I'm hoping I'll lose more in the coming months but right now I'm just stuck and it's fustrating. Plus I don't think I'm burning as many calories as someone who breastfeeds exclusively. I work full time and pump so she gets formula when my pumped milk runs out during the work day, but when I'm home it's just breastfeeding only. I'm having trouble making enough milk to sustain her the whole 9hrs I'm gone. From 8a-5p I only pump about 8-10 oz. I can't pump at home because she's constantly feeding. She has reflux pretty bad and spits up constantly, therefore she eats constantly. I eat 2000-2500 everyday and the amount of milk stays the same. I think I don't produce as much milk as I should as a combination of PCOS, anemia, and my breast lift surgery. One breast hardly makes any at all so it's a struggle but I'm not going out without a fight :) I know that she is my number one priority and will continue to make the healthiest choices possible for her until she's off the breast. Then after that, it's war!And yes, I'll stay away from Phentermine. I reacted badly to that when dieting pre-WLS

at about 3 months your daughter should have a growth spurt, and will probably want to nurse a lot!! I used the natural supplement Fenugreek to increase milk production and it really worked for me.  If you can also take a weekend where you nurse as frequently as you can it will prompt your body  to increase production.  I found that if i pumped after nursing and saved those bottles this helped to increase production as well.  Hang in there and good luck, keep on pumping and nursing as long as you can, it's great for you and baby!!

If you can cut out a good deal of fat and continue breast feeding your body will pull fat from you for breast milk.  Keep yourself hydrated and eat plenty of protein, and when baby has a growth spurt you might start losing again!
