Thanks, Liz! I appreciate it. I'm very thankful for my mom. She has been so wonderful to me.

I was so sick of that horrible hospital. They weren't doing anything for me. There were no doctors there. Just nurses and techs that really couldn't do anything for me. I was done with that place. My vision is fine now. I just had issues with that when I wasn't eating. I had my surgery 10/17. Thanks. I sure hope this gets better too. It truly is scary. :/

Met a park ranger here who had WLS and lost feeling in his arms... it was B vitamins (1, I think? Thiamine? not sure). Anyway, a couple of other WL surgeons couldn't figure him out and my doc got complete labs on him. The guy still has to take meds or his speech slurs some, but he said it is great overall and he is still glad he had WLS - just helps that he found a surgeon to run the right labs.

Good luck and best wishes

Thanks. They told me to take Vitamin E, B1, and Thiamine, so that's pretty interesting. Do you know how long it took for his numbness to improve? I really, really just want to be able to walk halfway normal. I really hope this isn't a permanent condition. :/ Thank you for your help. It definitely gives me some hope that maybe this isn't permanent.

Honestly I don't remember if he mentioned how long it took... this was back in mid-October that I talked to him.  He said he does have some trouble with his speech if he skips any of his meds, and if he goes too long his arms get numb again.    I sure hope everything works out ok for you....

That's crazy. They didn't put me on any meds other than the extra vitamins, so I'm hoping that's all I need. Thank you for your help. I definitely appreciate it. :]
